Personal Snowglobes:

Here are some of my own personal "sparkle globes", and the first one is of of me with my husband, Bill, and two lovely step-daughters, Melissa and Heather, over the Christmas holidays (December 2002).  The second one is of my good friend from Pennsylvania, Sue Smith (& me), when we visited together in October 2002 after nearly thirty-years of not having seen each other!  It was a very special time, and I'm very grateful we re-connected again after all this time:

Cozumel Links:

Blue Bubble Divers  - A terrific, friendly dive operation that I would  recommend to anyone not wanting to be part of a "cattle boat". They carry a maximum of only 8 people per dive.

Cozumel Fan Club - The name says it all!

Cozumel Guide.net - A great place to get lots of information about where to go and what to do in Cozumel!

Florida Keys Links:

Capt. Banny's Never Enough Charters  Tired of diving with a crowd?  Then you'll love diving with Capt. Banny, where they limit their trips to a maximum of four divers and are located in the heart of the Florida Keys (Marathon Key) at the Seahorse Motel, which is the perfect combination - a high quality resort with complete amenities (reasonably priced) and a dive boat at your door.  Capt. Banny can be reached via email at captbanny@aol.com or visit his website by clicking on the link above.  On a personal note, my husband and I really enjoyed diving with Banny - he's lots of fun and very personable.  In fact, here's a photo of us with him on one of our "dry dives" at Herbie's Seafood Restaurant!

Best of the Florida Keys - One of the best websites to find out everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask about the Florida Keys!

Turtle Kraals Restaurant - An excellent, historic restaurant right on the waterfront in Key West.  You don't want to miss this place when you are looking for a great place to eat!

Margaritaville Cafe - You just haven't been to Key West if you don't make an appearance at Jimmy Buffett's restaurant on Duvall Street in Key West!  Great food, great people, great music, great fun!

KOA Campground in Fiesta Key - I just can't say enough about the folks who run this terrific campground!  We had a wonderful site right on the water, and the people who work in the on-site outdoor restaurant, the general store (excellent, inexpensive souvenirs there, too!), the management - all were just helpful and friendly as you could ever hope for.  I highly recommend this campground if you ever plan to RV it down to the Keys!

Texas Links:

Mustang Island/Port Aransas - A lovely island, and a delightful coastal town.  It's just north of the more well-known, Padre Island. A bit less "touristy" (unless you go down there at Spring Break!)

McKinney, TX - Our home town and a great place to live!

Texas Governor Rick Perry - He's now our State Governor since George W. Bush (aka, "Dubya") became President of the US of A.

Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison - Glad to have her representing us! She answers all her mail from her constituents (I know - I've written to her a number of times!).

Health Resources:

drkoop.com - "The Best Prescription is Knowledge"

Optimal Wellness Center - Dr. Joseph Mercola "How You Can Avoid Dying Early" and other excellent medical information and debunking of many accepted practices in "modern" medicine.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Fibromyalgia - Hosted by Lisa Lorden.  Excellent information about both diseases and where and how to get help with these debilitating illnesses.

Thyroid Disease - Hosted by Mary Shomon.  How to get properly diagnosed if you think you might have a thyroid disorder.  Abundant resources and information. She's also written an excellent book entitled "Living Well with Hypothyroidism".

Ligament Sclerotherapy/Prolotherapy - David E. Teitelbaum, D.O..  Strengthening ligaments through this type of therapy is what saved me from having to go through back surgery.  I had excruciating back pain and was told there was no other alternative, until a friend told me about sclerotherapy/prolotherapy. I can't say enough about this process. If you have been told you need back surgery, I urge you to look into ligament sclerotherapy before you go through what might be a lot of unnecessary and painful surgery. I promise that you won't regret it.

John R. Lee, M.D. - Doctor, lecturer, author of two books: "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause" and "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Premenopause".  What a help these have been.  The first book discusses natural progesterone over "The Pill" and many other issues; the second discusses balancing your hormones and your life from thirty to fifty.

The Health Collection - An EXCELLENT internet health store with great products and great service!  They also have a local store in my home town of McKinney, Texas at 1414 N. Central Expressway (phone: 972.562.4039).  Stop in for the best products and friendliest service you'll find anywhere!

Personal/Business Websites of Friends and Family:

McTech - My hubby's business website.  His business is a systems engineering and consulting firm which is committed to the success of its customers.  He strives to provide "A Guiding Light in a Sea of Technology", something much needed in this Information Age we live in.  He also has three excellent tutorials involving music technology:  Audio Technician Tutorial, Lighting Technician Tutorial, and a demo page of Musical Instruments from Around the World.  If you are interested in utilizing these, please contact him at mctech@flash.net for pricing and password.

Opinions Unlimited - Liz Pavek has created a terrific website containing a rich source of excellent information regarding health issues, nutrition, and some mighty important life and moral issues as well.  A must-visit website!

Great Reading:

The Liveship Traders Trilogy (Genre: Fantasy). Author: Robin Hobb (Ship of Magic, Mad Ship and Ship of Destiny), the Farseer Trilogy (Assassin's Apprentice, Royal Assassin, and Assassin's Quest), and the Tawny Man Trilogy (Fool's Errand, Golden Fool, and the not-yet-released and eagerly anticipated Fool's Fate (sometime in 2004).  You can read more about Robin Hobb on her website at http://Robinhobb.com ).  I can honestly say that I have not read such intricate story-telling since I read J. R. R. Tolkien's The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings; Robin takes you along on a wonderful, magical journey with her main characters, and I guarantee that you'll be unable to put the book down; nor will you be able - ever - to figure out how things are going to end.  There is a surprise around every corner; nothing is predictable; her characters are constantly changing and becoming more than what they started out to be, and the journey is deeper and more intricate than you could possibly begin to imagine.  Totally delightful, dazzling, extraordinary sagas, every one.

The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings (Genre: Fantasy).  Author: J.R.R. Tolkien.  The Hobbit is the beginning of this epic story about Bilbo Baggins and his adventures "outside the door".  The Lord of the Rings consists of three books entitled The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King.  Absolutely the most intricate and the highest form of fantasy literature ever written, in the opinion of many.  I've read them twice now and will no doubt read them again.  Peter Jackson, director and producer of The Lord of the Rings movies, has done an excellent, sensitive job of producing and interpreting Tolkien's work.  You can read all about the making of The Lord of the Rings at http://www.lordoftherings.net.
